Hello, world
Welcome to my little corner on the net!
I’m a software and DevOps engineer with experience in a number of domains, most recently including distributed systems, infrastructure, and open-source software. I’ve also had the opportunity to have worked on scientific computing, signal processing, and even some web development in the past.
My favorite programming languages at the moment are Go and Python. I can’t get enough of the simplicity, performance, and ecosystem Go provides. When not using Go, I enjoy using Python for prototyping due to its extensive number of built-in features and libraries.
I’m a GNU/Linux fan who occasionally enjoys distro-hopping. I’ve settled on Ubuntu for now after having used Debian, Fedora, and Arch in the past.
Outside of work, I enjoy:
- Running
- Weight lifting
- Reading
- Hacking on side projects
- Hacking on my dotfiles and Emacs configuration
- Hacking on my bare-metal Kubernetes homelab
- Automating away manual tasks
- Contributing to open-source software
